“Foshan” is written for traditional Chinese bamboo flute (Dizi) and piano,
but it can also be played on Western Boehm-flute of course.
Flute players make Chinese ornamentations (trills, bends, etc) ad libitum.
In the improvisation section both piano and flute turn into improvising 

a melody in the pentatonic scale G-flat using any Chinese-like motives.
Any combination of scale-notes will sound good.
